Is what appears to be round/smooth just brush work, or are displacements involved?

brush work, did a straight section in 5 degree rotations filling in the gaps with 2.5 degree rotations. and the overpass was originally brushwork later converted to a model.

here is a map that died because hammer just decided to corrupt both it, my backup, and my attempted remake.
thanks to planetphillip for making a video of a complete playthrough, since I did not



was going to be called "the stange escape" and have about 5 levels in a mappack, each with a subtitle, this map (as you may have noticed) was called "the greenhouse"

A rooftop map i was working on for L4D, but didn't like the direction it was heading in. I might start again from scratch at another point in time. Perhaps L4D2!

If you wanted to make it less taxing for perf you could make a custom physics explosion for it.
