actually if it wasnt for all the really tiny grainy bits. itd look really good how it is. just a bit plain.

Here's my first entry. Took an hour and half or so to make.

BTW this texture uses the same technique Valve and Turtle Rock Studio use to make most of their textures, which is photomanipulation.

i made some mistakes while resizing it, and it ended up a bit to sharp. And trusth me it tiles, you can test it yourself

I got a bit of work to do on it, I.E. the pipes are pretty featureless, but I'm quite proud I did that from scratch.

you could get a photo of some rusted metal, and overlay it with the pipes.. should give a nice fx

Thats semi made it better, but I was thinking along the lines of creating a bracket to hold the pipes in.

just fine some photoshop tuts.. just google it and use the rules to bump and alpha channels.. i think there is some in the tut section on the site
