I hope that none of the people who claim that L4D2 lacks content will tell me that Call of duty 4 #2 is delivering much more
Why would you change a winning recipe? These 2 games share 1 thing: Their multiplayer is their strong point. Who cares about how much content is in a game. What matters is, the game has to be fun EVERY time you play it, it has to create a different experience. The game is out for only 2 weeks and people are already asking for DLC. Wtf. Besides Valve, who on earth care as much about their consumers as they do?
Valve really shows that they care about their product quality. And if that means they have to upgrade their engine to deliver more amazing content, then, they have to release a new game. Is there a BOYCOTT movement for the
all the sports games, released year after year, with so little improvements? L4D2 is better than the first game in every way, stop QQing!
I must say I'm pretty sold to Valve but hey.. they never disappointed me since 1998!
The problem is that valve based their multiplayer on their single player, thus it's the same experience. My problem is that of what multiplayer content it has that isn't campaign based, they weren't designed for it. That's why dead center is the only map played on scavenged. Because of this, it loses value every time you play it. Doesn't make it a bad game, just a game that needs a lot of attention from the developers.
I don't like sports games for that reason of yearly improvements, but for those who enjoy those games will probably claim that the statistics changes are a big part about how the game is played. That could be done in DLC, but it isn't because it sells well.
I don't think this post was targeting me, but in case it was, I'm not QQing, I'm giving an opinion on the game's released content and my experience playing the game. I have fun playing L4D2, especially with friends or family, but I don't think I'll play it as much as I play TF2 or SF4, which I play because it's online and gameplay experience keeps me coming back for more. With l4d2, the game is fun, and with the right additions to scavenge and some changes to both the odd special infected registry problems, it could also be a game that I can always come back to for the multiplayer experience. Right now, it's a fun thing to play with other people like family, and it can be fun doing a whole campaign through given you and your team-mates have mics!
Also : There can be a lack of content in multiplayer games.
