Forum image popups

Postby Blink on Tue Dec 29, 2009 11:18 am

I've spent some time tweaking the forum images because I realise the ability to view large images was a bit flaky at the best of times.

Now if someone posts an image that is over 650px it should allow you to click and expand it to a full view. Please bear in mind this function only becomes active once the page (and images) have fully loaded.

Why am I telling you this? So you can give it a test as you browse around and let me know of any problems.

Cheers

I thought this was already implemented?

Or maybe it didn't expand into full view? It seems to work anyway and looks awesome.

It was but from what I saw it was quite buggy and sometimes didn't work and sometimes did. From what I've tested so far it works every time now

Please add an option to simply open the image in a new tab. I don't like the highslide malarkey.

There is even an option in Opera that says "Open in new window" when right clicking an image.

You can do that in FF too, and Open in new Tab
When in doubt, VDC.

Don't even need to do that. Just middle mouse the pic and voila new tab D:

Erm I don't understand what's different between this one and the old one? Also does this have anything to do with cs_awesome :D

Yes, if you don't like the pop-up just use middle mouse, everyone should know that.

No difference in the functions, I was just announcing that this one worked and hopefully people could let me know if it still showed signs of not working.

It seems a lot less laggy and more responsive. Good work. It used to be really bad if I enlarged and tried to scroll around.

does the [image][/image] tag still work? (allows you to specify the preview-window size)

No, that has several layout issues anyway. Will be retiring it soon
