Maybe the model will look better in-game. Lots of things usually do.
I don't really mind the model selection option, I just hope all the CT models are similar, and all the T models are similar. Moreso than the old CS models.
Maybe if they just brought back the old CT models, and made those the selections. That would be good. And they could slowly release the other T models.
And yes, I've been waiting for Assualt for so long...
