So after dragging this out for a while I finally signed with a company: id Software. I'll be on the Doom 4 team as an associate (junior) designer. Just wanted to say thanks again to this site for providing a forum to place my stuff and a supply chain of information that proved indispensable to me landing my job.

And as a very important side note to those looking to get similar jobs: I formally applied to id, but they apparently found out about me by watching these forums. So if you're looking to get in the industry, always put your best foot forward and present everything as professionally as you can - you never know who's watching.

Oh, and I might be posting my level design test on Planet Phillip that id gave me (if anyone's interested what to expect from a formal test to be completed within 10 days). I imagine if I was trying to get a job I'd wanna see what other people's tests looked like, but if no one's interested I'll just keep it to myself.

Also, grats on snagging a job at id. Hopefully your talent will make doom 4 not be as bad as doom 3 :D

Congrats on the job, and on the awesome mod, way too short though :P

Only crit would be that the beginning part was a little too short and unforgiving. If the tasks were more spaced out and if the boards were easier to see I wouldn't have mission-failed so many times.



also, dubstep in HL2 == win
