A texture map for some XIII textures I ported.

A cliff side I did, was going to use ported stalker textures but the thing kept crashing.

This was to test a custom pool textures and caustics, the guy never gave me the caustics and the water looked like crap.

This is finished but, I'm not using it for anything.

Who? No, this is a huge brush-based monstrosity, not a model. I made it on my own, no tuts used. If I DO ever use this mech I'll remake it as a model.

Since the mod I'm on switched to UDK, I might post up some screenshots from the now abandoned source levels.
It's quite simple really. I want to be a professional level designer. I want this to be my job.

If it wasn't for the bad light maps and shadows in the first pic I'd think it was real, if it wasn't for the bad cubemaps in the second pic, most of it would look real. :P

Same, had to do a doubletake on the bedroom screenie, thought it was IRL.

Then I saw the random orange glow coming from seemingly nowhere or a non-lit lamp model.

EDIT: Actually now that I look at it it looks like what my maps look like if there's a leak, shadows are f***ed up. Also who made the bed's normals? They look great.

If there was a leak you shouldn't be getting any light at all as I recall it, I haven't actually started the map with leaks in a long time because I always make sure there are none. On another note, are those three "fingers" there deliberately to make an unsettling scene?

Notice how the shadows are on the models? He is using shadow maps not lightmaps . Shadow maps are created by env_projectedtextures which also explains the low res look(bandwidth limitations I think)
