I've not really been following it much. I quickly watched the trailer yesterday, read some facts and that's it. It sounds like it'll be a "4 way co-op open world fallout 3 quest like game set on a Just Cause 2 like island with gameplay mechanics from Dead Rising."

Sounds like a neat idea.

Really well done trailer. I don't know anything about the developers, but Deep Silver hasn't published anything worthwhile except the first Stalker game.

Same here, ever since I learned of it and saw the tech demo from like 07....
I still remember back when I had my jaw drop from the idea of what you could do in this game...

The trailer is awesome but gives no reason to buy the game seeing as it is not only all pre-rendered, but was also all outsourced (to the same company that did the Assassins Creed Brotherhood trailer).

Which REALLY annoys me. I hope that was a pubishers decision because otherwise it gives reason to NOT buy their game.
I wish the general public had a bit more intelligence about things like this so companys would stop relying on hype and start relying on quality to sell their game.

We'll just have to see some gameplay before me make any judgments I guess. Could turn out to be an awesome zombie game. I'm just glad it's going to be in first person perspective. I was afraid it would be another Dead Rising.

That's how everything is these days. It sucks ass but that's just the direction the market in general has taken. It's as bad the marketing for Apple products.

I think you're just missing the point... the trailer was meant to tease the game. It's meant to garner interest in the game so that they have an audience to actually show people more stuff in the future, like gameplay.

Sure, you've heard of it because you're probably constantly involving yourself with all things gaming, but I can bet you anything a huge proportion of people have never, ever heard of Dead Island.

You sure? Because when I looked at the website, most of the characters seemed to be bad ass people with lots of tattoos who loves to chop off Zombie heads for breakfast
Also, trailer was made by a different company.
