Yes, but he also had a documented plan, not just an idea.
Even though some of these guys are coming off arrogant, they are giving you the right direction. Most mods don't plan to fail, they just fail to plan.
Say I was to join you (I'm not), what would you have me do right now? If I don't have a detailed document of what you want, then we are not working towards the same goal. If you really want your idea to work, spend some time on it, write it all out, and then go from there. The 1st idea I ever had is still on an old hard drive and most likely nothing will ever come of it, but I learned from it, and now I am well underway with a commerical title, with an experienced crew of 11 people.
So plan it out, and don't rush to recruit. You shouldn't be recruiting level designers until you already have a working prototype anyways. Level design is very important, but with a couple photo manipulations, you are not ready for recruitment, not here at least.
