Any aspects of level design for the Source engine.

no combination of these fixes is working for me on Win7 64 bit.

has anyone been able to get it to work in Win7 64?

This is a real disappointment, I was really hoping to get some coding done, but since I don't have a map to test my npc's out in, I'm kinda screwed.

I got the original fix from the OP to work.

I haven't had any problems with any of the recent updates. Is your problem with the Source 2007 SDK or the 2009 SDK? Or both?

It's funny to me that I began with no problems but as the "fixes" started rolling out, THEN I ran into problems. Alphas are reversed, my env_sun entities are jacked and there's lighting problems all over my maps.

What do you mean? alphas reversed in-game or in the editor? If it´s the latter remove the dxsupport.cfg file in your orangebox/bin folder. If the first, then we´re all fucked up.

I compiled maps yesterday using the OP´s fix and everything seems to work fine here.

I'm working on another fix that works for the source2006, source2007 (ep1/bin), source2009 (orangebox/bin) and the Left for Dead 2 one. There might be some problems with the hammer model viewer but it should be ok to use.

We just got a big update to Source SDK that supposedly fixes all the problems.

Calling the update "big" is a bit over the top.

Relatively big. Most of the previous updates have been:

Another new update was recently pushed through. Valve has updated Source SDK and added a new engine for mapping: Source Engine MP. Not sure if there is anything new here but word on the street is that everything works again.

SDK works again! Just change yourself back to 2009 rather than Source MP by default.

I guess that's setting up for CS:GO.

Look at that, they added this error. Which is a good thing, so people don't accidentally try to make a 2009 mod.

I don't think he was talking to you personally, just in general.

Anywho, glad it works.
