Reeke it wasnt the shadows that were the problem it was the bars, by 'messed up the water' i didn't mean the water didn't look pretty i mean it was fucked, totally...lots of wierd squares in it and stuff, plus the map wouldn't load until i deleted them.

I think its just a bit hard to tell whats going on Yokai, try adding some more lights (actual ones not spotlights), maybe some neon blue ones or something behind the pyramid to make it stand out more i dunno...keep adding to it, you're defo on the right track tho



EDIT: May aswell not make another post, just made some minor changes to mine, felt it looked a bit....bland i guess, before...anyway still WIP but looking better IMO...ill carry on with it tomorrow

Awesome work Reele. That grass on the sand textures looks odd though.

Paul, that texture on the pyramids just doesn't do it for me. The rest of it is awesome :)

Try making some brushs teh same shape as the texture, use it as a "trace" tool. get what im saying? then put new glace in between.

Though save it as a new map like design_louvre_testing then compile and if it doesnt work just update teh old one with something else. it helps making trail and error easier lol :o :lol:

Yeah i know i have about 10 backups already for this map lol...ill have another go at making the brushes across the pyramid face...i deleted some func_details as i at one point there were too many and my map just wouldn't accept any more brushes. I'll give it a go this afternoon. Not expecting great things tho :)

Yokai i already tried making brushes, i explained earlier they gave me map problems so i was forced to resort to using a texture instead...but like i just said ill have another bash

EDIT: Image above updated, still without bars tho
