funk_movelinear

hi guys
im trying to parent a func_ladder to a func_movelinear entity with no luck
ive tried grouping the ladders to the func_movelinear but the ladders dont move with it
any help would be most appreciated

Grouping in Hammer doesn't have any effect in-game. Its only for convenience when building your level.
Func_ladder can't be parented either since it's a static entity for nav mesh generation. You can make your ladder some other entity, like another func_movelinear (func_brush would be ideal but it doesn't work with ladders) and parent it to your moving func_movelinear, but you won't be able to get any nav mesh generation on it, if thats important.

i managed to tie some ladders to a func_tanktrain somehow and they work ingame but cant remember how i did it
ive moved the tanktrain back toworld and ungrouped them but the ladders just come up as nodraw
im really confused now on what i did in the first place to get them working on a moving object
ive put a link in to download the map so anyone can take a look at what ive done

quick update
been playing with this and have found a workaround
i made a brush and tied it to a funk_button then trxtured it with a ladder texture
i parented this to the func_movelinear
then i made another brush using the invisible ladder and tied this to a funk_button
then parented this to the previous button
works great
hope this helps anyone else with this issue
this seems to be the only way i can find to tie a ladder to a moving object
