I tried that too.

Can't you decompile the maps? I know it's not very reliable... But just a peak...

I tried, because it's on an even newer engine version than Portal 2 vmex doesn't work. Also Briscoe put such a troll teleportation trigger around the 3D Skyboxes so you can't look at them. But from outside the box I could see he used a flat two layer scrolling cloud texture and a sky dome for the skybox. No 3D geometry for the distant cliffs and radio tower, it was flat onto the skydome. HOW DOES HE DO THIS!!!!

I have come to the realisation that the problem with my map is unfixable. Theres no way around it other than to delete what was causing it. Therefore, I must convert my epic round about into a standard intersection. :(

That's not a winning attitude. Your problem was "vis decompression overload" right? Is your roundabout entirely func_detailed? On a big open area like yours, your visleafs should be very simple. If its the amount of brushes that are causing the error, propper can solve that for you (at the expense of nice lighting).

That problem is gone. The new problem is that the round about centre bit was causing low fps when ever the player looked at it. The thing was ENTIRELY func_detail and yet the issue was still there. Anyway, it's too late. I already changed it. I actually think it might be better this way? :smt023

Just finished Dear Esther. Stunning.

I played through the older version when it was released, and the entirety of this version still sweep me off my feet. The natural environment was killer with the foliage and water effects. Every step of the caves was jaw dropping - I loved the contrast of lighting in its different areas. And then that car scene... it pulled at my emotions just a little.

An excellent example of art and now I must go about recreating how he did so much of it.

One thing I might have missed though. In the older version, you could catch glimpses of a dark figure on a cliff top or whatnot that I guess was Esther's phantom - was that in this version? I didn't ever see one, but at the same time there was so much to look at.
The inspiration as to why I'm here: Adam Foster; Minerva. Great job man.

I knew I saw a figure! I was walking towards: http://i.imgur.com/9Fw1q.jpg from the other side and I could have sworn I saw something. Looks like I did.

That model is creepy as hell.
