You... you did watch the video right? You're not just saying this stuff without watching it right?
Because they explained how they did get the President to send troops there (not a lot and only as advisers but its a start for what they want to make happen).
Also I hope you meant "Uganda" (and the few other countries Kony has spread to), when you say "Africa".
The 'just isn't our problem' stance I do understand. I really do. Our country is shit right now and I feel before we can really help others fix their fuck ups we have to make sure we fix our fuck ups first.
But I mean if we're going to have this huge ass army that drains our trillions of dollars from the US every year, we might as well put it towards something useful.
Plus Iraq just wasn't our problem either. They had no ties to 911, contrary to popular believe. That didn't stop the US from interfering.
The difference in this case though is we wouldn't be going in to crush a country's army and babysit for a decade.
As far as you not supporting Kony 2012.... wtf I'm sure thats not what you meant. You do support putting an end to the invisible army right?
And if you still believe the leaders of this movement are just "in it for the money", even after watching the video... don't. give. money.
pretty simple huh? You can still raise awareness for the movement without spending money.
If you support the goals of the movement, that is.
