simple question: I want a physic prop to float but it goes right to the bottom. What i should add in the qc?

Surface prop can depict its buoyancy.

I believe if you change the surface prop to something such as..
floatingstandable
or if you use like wood, floating_metal_barrel etc, then you have a good chance of getting it to work.

I am currently editing using HL2 for my "mapping" and was wondering how to import custom Skyboxes. (the directory location)

question: i cannot map for source 2007. when i open source sdk and try to pick source 2007, episode 2 is grayed out and i cant use the dropdown menu to pick a game in the 2007 category. source 2009 works fine. how do i solve this? thanks!!

This is probably hard to answer if you haven't experienced it yourself but... A few days ago, my 3DS Max 2012 crashed while I was doing some welding on a model. Ever since that crash, my max has become very slow. The viewport is slow, the load time is slow, the save time is slow (increased by about 10 times), the compilers are slow. Wtf is going here? Some said I could try deleting the 3dsmax.ini or whatever which I did and it didn't help.
I google'd it but most people seem to solve it by updating drivers or deleting that ini file. I have the latest drivers and I have delete the ini.
Specs:
MSI P67A-GD55, Intel Core i7 Sandy Bridge 2600k @ 3,4GHz, Corsair 8GB DDR3 1333MHz, 1TB HDD, NVidia GTX580 1,5GB GDDR5, Blu-Ray drive

Ep2 not being available for source 2007 is old news. It dates from the last "update" i think. Problem is, you can not create a mod for source 2009, but if you create a mod for source 2007 and launch hammer it looks just like that broken version they release with every update and make it last a few weeks, black viewports, no grid, etc, etc.

I think it was you with whom I once talked about this. I´m building my mod inside ep2, once I´m done with it i will port all the files to that basemod Jangalop once made and that´s it. I never found a list of differences between 2007 and 2009. I have no idea if there´s a difference (besides a few bugs in one or the other).

I join you to the question, adding this: Does anybody know if my previous plan is going to be screwed for some reason? I´m obviously not using changes in the code. Only models, materials, levels, sounds and scripts.

Anyone ever get an issue in a CSS map where things such as blood sprays, muzze flashes, and explosions won't render? Even after building cubemaps? I've been running in to this problem with a map of mine and I can't find a solution at all. I've tried copying the entire map in Hammer then pasting it in to a new file and re-saving with a different name. Didn't work at all.

I have a portal 2 map that consists of two rooms: one is a small room where the player spawns and in here is a spot light. This more or less works fine (aka it functions). This enters onto the larger room, the test chamber. I have put a light into the centre of this but nothing, nada, zilch. The only light in there is reflecting from the tractor beam. I've tried changing the type of light to spot and environment to see if anything works and it still pitch black.

Can anyone help?
