Mission Improbable has been released!!

We have still not gotten our installer authorized by modDB, but we have our own mirror here:

on the third level I got purple text saying BLIMEY! when I killed the two stalkers, what was that about?

I am not a fan of the change to the light_environment in the first level...but other than that, everything was far beyond expectations. EXCELLENT MOD.

Why not? Its fun to add in these small touches when the player does something that not everybody will do :)

Glad to see people enjoying the mod, it was a lot of work to make! But fun as well!

Made it to the end, really fun best mod i have played for a long time, but found 0 flowers :(

You removed the nice wooden stair break, it was pretty cool. Also when you try and hit most of the wooden walkway models you don't hit anything, that may be because you couldn't compile a very complex collision box, not a big problem.

I can't help but think you took a lot of inspiration from Dear Esther, you have some waves that move back and forth, and this area which was on a lot of the beaches in Dear Esther, plus you have a skydome. Nothing wrong with this at all just saying. I agree with Joe that the light_environment change wasn't the best idea, it doesn't really fit the skybox and it doesn't contrast enough with the next outdoor map's lighting. :D

Please don't take these comments as harsh or condescending, I know they are very tedious things and most of them are pretty opinionated. The base gameplay was solid though, nice platforming and combat. I did very much enjoy the mod I just don't understand why you removed the cool stuff. The cinematic physics were very clever, even if it seems like a lot of it just randomly fell to the ground. I really like your stuff and hope to see more in the future. :)

You should check your game´s cache. Those missing animations and floating props didn´t exist in my end. You must have a modified or broken ep2 folder.

I also found quite a lot of annoyances and bugs. But they didn´t prevent me to believe this is the best HL2 mod I´ve seen yet.

i dont think its the best hl2 mod out there. i think R&D is still the champion. but mission improbable was pretty damn awesome and deserves plenty of praise. this is what RIGHT looks like, gentlemen.

Pretty much shits on everything else out there when it comes to HL2-themed mods, apart from maybe R&D. The color correction was a bit strong in places, I thought, but when it wasn't it worked really well. Super clever design mostly and one of the few mods that really got the Combine architecture down.
