This time I made a Colt 1908 It was pretty tough for me since I haven't done much guns so I was pretty much redoing most parts multiple times over to get the shapes just right for the high poly model. Pretty awesome learning experience all in all :P

Well that's how it looks now on gordon's hands, I'm pretty damn proud of what I've achieved

looks really nice, i think. gordon's hands look really bad compared to most gun models today, lol

I reworked the weapon I made shaving several thousand triangles off of it, created additional LOD models, remapped the U/V and smoothing groups for greater efficiency and texel density, reworked the texture, eliminated the redundant styles, added a self-illum mask to the 'stickies,' modded the stock particle effects for it, and created two small little promo scenes in Source Film Maker, which I didn't know how to do before.

That is sweet, I would use that. Still think the texture could use some work on the gun, but it fits well enough as it is.

Another high poly, winchester trench gun. This one wasn't much of a hassle like the previous one... I may have actually learned something. :D
The stock still has something weird going on I dont know how to fix it properly.

I've been trying to model this for awhile, I can't get the receiver right, always invalid polies and such. Yours is still a little too tall. Looks good though.

Can you post a closeup of the part of the stock that's being weird? Wireframes and regular renders would be appreciated

Very much appreciate the feedback I've now fixed most of the problems. :)

@armageddon: Yeah the gun was a bit too tall. My reference picture had a small perspective distortion so it started to add up as I worked towards the barrel, I narrowed it back a bit

@jangalomph: thanks for noticing it. It's now less "smooth"

@TicTac: I think I solved the problem mostly. I cleaned up some edges causing turbosmooth to produce bumps.
