It's just the new SteamOS or Steam Universe logo distorted a bit. I thought that was pretty obvious! You guys look into things way too much. And the third announcement will most likely be a controller, they made a pretty obvious hint about it at the end of the steam machine page.

30 MINUTES!!!!

EDIT: And there it is. The Steam Controller as everyone was expecting. Looks rather interesting, but I can't really make many judgements without actually using one to see what the touch pads feel like. I love the fact that Valve is fully supporting hacking the thing on a hardware and software level, and are even going to provide tools to people who want to do so.

brb, I'm gonna go blow up a hospital.

but wow, i am actually QUITE interested in the controller. i love how valve describes some of its features as "parlor tricks".

Looks interesting. I wonder how touch/track pads would work for aiming and movement. I just know I hate using them as a mouse.

More precise than an analog stick. More versatile too, as it can emulate an analog stick if the game needs it.

The steam controller is actually really interesting. There's a lot of good ideas they put into it, like the vibration thing. I just can't get past wondering how weird the trackpads must feel. I guess it takes some getting used to, but once you're good with it I can imagine it being 100x better than analog sticks.

Damn, 450 watts might be cutting it close with a Titan on board. A Titan is obviously totally overkill so the final configuration probably won't have one, but the GTX760 seems like a possible option. We really can't determine what will go in the final system until we get the official MSRP. And by then they'll probably have the final specs listed anyway.

I'd love to see one with a 4gb GTX770 in there. But those cards are like $460 alone.
