I think the "your message has been submitted" -screen should be removed. Its damn annoying having to wait several additional seconds (yeah, I have a shitty connection) to see your post/thread/edit.

(This might just be me though, Im used to the FacePunch forums :P )

its a way for phpBB to report errors. It wont be easy to remove this screen. i say leave it

Actually I just did it on a local installation of phpBB, pretty easy. Just open "functions_post.php" and go to line 356-360, change the $meta line and there you go :), I just used a simple hack with header("location: url");

Yeah, I find it useful to an extend. There are occasions where the post fails randomly. Also sometimes i don't wanna see my post, cos i've previewed it and know it's ok, and wanna jump back to the forum, it's handy for that.

And also considering that mods on the phpBB was what left a gaping hole for the hackers to piss on us it's not a good idea.
