Well, Not much information yet but its the map I'm working on. I made this stair case today leading to part of the map and liked it so much I thought I would share it with you. Well, that turned into me starting a thread and putting a little information out on the map itself.

But anyways, here is the stair case, and my horrible texturing skills. Sorry its dark but thats part of the map, you'll just have to wait and find out why. :-D

I'm off all weekend and have no plans to do anything except see Saw3, so I'm gonna get a lot done on it!

I still don't have Photoshop CS2 and I have to do everything in MSPaint, which fucks up the quality big time.


I'll give you another blocky screnshot sometime today.

BTW last time I checked, wood was usually cut into something that looked like blocks, I figured a few people here understand playing with wood. :lol:

Make the wooden pillars (or how u call it) smaller and give them a dark wooden texture, maybe u can give te wall some decals (gravity or blood maybe?)

I plan on adding stuff under the staircase itself like someone stored junk under it, and putting up a poster (decals) along the wall. I"m mainly worried about the structure. The support beams are kinda big, I'll make them smaller by a little.


Working on a few things to make it purtier then I'll blast another block shot here. 8)

Started out the design as a bunker, not its more like just a house thats set in the ground with doors leading to an underground base type supplies storage place.

Its funny to me, cause your just standing in the room like "WTF am I going to do?" when you hear something running across water and moving around, then gunfire breaks out from all around and the windows start shattering and your weaponless with no place to run but down to the blast doors.

The other NPCs just die cause they are stupid and can't follow anyone down stairs.

Thats not that bad. The textures need a major re-working however, I just feel the colors don't match.

Add some nice dark light but don't make the room too dark.

Well, I did some more work, then kept having a leaking issue so I trashed the environment and kept the bunker parts. The outside environment as of right now will not be important, since the first half of the mission involves you retreating into the bunker to escape.


But whatever, here is my latest piece of shit I made in hammer. Don't mind the rest of it, texturing is sure to change as well. I figured this was better than one long stair case, or just a lift.

The first steps. These are also being setup something like a trap, that will prevent NPCs/Players from using it.

I'm going to try and finish the first of it and post a video. You start out kind of helpless and pretty much get to run around till you complete the first objective, which is to retreat into the bunker.

Well not much to say right now, it's still all hammer shots and no lighting, get a nice soft spotlight with a yellow/brownish touch in there.
