Colbert has a daily (well almost daily. I don't think its on on Fridays) TV show on Comedy Central (USA). Political satire and the like. Extremely funny.

Pleasantly suprised when I found the show whilst I was staying in the US a while back, because US TV is usually absolute rubbish. Colbert and John Stuart are the only real exceptions. :-D

YouTube him up. A slight knowledge of US politics helps make it that extra bit funnier, but you'll be laughing even if you don't.

EDIT: Actually you'll be hard pressed to find clips on YouTube. I've just remembered Comedy Central, being the dickwads they are, don't like free advertising and got YouTube to take down all the clips. Judging by the fact that there are still only a handful there, seems YouTube are still taking them down.

I don't know, can you imagine a comedian for an elected official? let me rephrase that. Can you imagine, excluding the state of California completely, a comedian for an elected official?

It would be funny... but I can't see much coming from it, could be completely wrong though.

He's got my vote. (even though I live in Sweden and can't vote in america  )

But I have to agree with penney.

"lol lets vote for the funny guy from comedy central. That would be fucked up"

It's all laugh and giggles untill hes actually elected as president. And all of a sudden every house in america is upside down and babies spontaneously combust.

But maybe he's a political genious. I don't know him well enough... But I'm drunk so I for no reason take part in a political discussion I know nothing about

I don't think it is a good thing that I feel like he would do a better job then all the other candidates. He has no political agendas and no debt to oil companies and crap. I feel frightened that these old guys with loyalties to big corporations can start a war.

Hey, he's got my vote. I mean, I really don't like any of the other candidates, and if Hillary wins, I'm moving to Canada.

Am I really the only one who doesn't like Colbert? Honestly, he's not that funny, or not as funny as John Stewart, anyway. I like the daily show a lot better.

That being said, I'm still voting for Badnarik.
i had fun once, and it was awful.

I don´t know. The US just had a magical wonder chimp for eight years and a hateful actor throughout the eighties.

I dun really see a problem with it tbh. Comedians are people too, and our government is supposed to be lead by a regular person and not a king or emporer or tycoon or 15 second soundbyte.

Which rules out all the "top-tier" people on both sides.

I wouldn't be suprised if he got a decent %, but after the primaries you know it's gonna be one of two people. I really want to move to one of those magical countries where it's not always hot and there are more than two types of people.
