So i was thinking just now, After a long day of work...

I had a problem with my laptop today, it is a few years old. A dell XPS which was issued to my by my job. I love it. However today it was not feeling well. The DVD drive was not working. So i worked on it for a bit with no luck. So i jumped on ebay and got a new drive and when it gets here in a few days I will put it in myself... Take maybe 30 minutes or so, never done it before could take less could take more... Point is I dont have to go to the "F"ing Apple Store to have them fix it. This cost me a total of 60 bucks to get the new drive... I love my PC...

I've owned my iPod for a couple of years now. I use it every day. I've deleted everything on it a couple of times to start fresh. I've dropped it god-only-knows how many times.

It still functions flawlessly. It's only locked up on me twice, and the pressing of the middle + menu buttons fixed it both times. The battery still lasts the nine hour drive from Portland to Sacramento.

The only thing I don't like about it is how easily it gets scratched/smudged/scuffed. A case is a necessity.

If their hardware works, who cares how they market their stuff? I am going to buy a MacBook Air because it'll work for what I need to for (basically nothing) and look good doing it. If someone wants to buy a Mac because they look nice, who cares? It's not your money.

I'm sporting the brushed metal back look myself. Which kinda looks cool... I guess.

I got to call a Mac user this week and tell him his computer was trojaned. He started laughing and said "I'm using a Mac". But I got the last laugh.

I want to make that my sig... Proof Macs can get viruses. Funny thing is so many people believe that crap they are leaving the door open for viruses to come walking in. I am actually supprised that more coders/hackers have not started making viruses to attack Macs. Simply for the shear fact it is like an outright challange by Apple saying they dont get viruses.

So to any hackers out there go get em... JK no really...

If an iPod crashes (Which is often in my experience) there is absolutely NOTHING you can do about it shot of waiting for the battery to run out. Wheres the reset switch? Oh thats right, Creative have it.

I really don't know how you guys are torturing your iPods. I have mine for 3 years now. Battery works great, it only crashed once or twice when my PC crashed while updating some files. It has a reset button. All you have to do is hold "play" and "menu" for 5 seconds.

I agree on many things. iTunes sucks. The sound quality isn't the best either (but more than enough for the tiny ear plugs you mostly listen to on). But it's a sophisticated product nevertheless.

Yeah, boo macs, actually wait, boo computers!

Don't you remember a time when all you needed for graphic design and the like was an airbrush set, some good material for stenceling, maybe some linolium stamps, a chizel for the linolium stamp, inks, oh yeah just gotta have paint brushes and paint, a good set of pencils and pens with some good good erasers, canvis, good paper pads oh god what else?... oh and some pot :)

Wait by the time you spend all that money you might aswell by photoshop but then you need a computer, lets say a grand, but then you want the net, thats like 20 - 40 a month, then wait you can just go get photoshop for free... ehh...

I guess macs dont really bother me, but their marketing sure does! Main reason I don't watch tv!

The levels of undo in traditional mediums is what turns me on to digital graphic design. I do find that a base of traditional mediums does help ones workflow in digital form though. The pot is still manditory. Definitely.

What does this have to do with Macs... well, second hand smoke definitely effects the pure white finish on Mac products. ;-)

I've got an iPhone, its the sweetest mobile device I've ever owned. Was sitting in a train the other day, sending text messages, reading my e-mail online, browsing a website, listening to some music. All with the touch of my finger.

It brings up a point that many people seem to forget in this thread. Apple might be expensive, but they are user friendly.

/waits for the linux kiddies to bash me with their "much bettar and cheapar creative zen phone".

I'm sick of apples. I think I'll stick to my Orange Juice.

On a serious note, I like my PC a lot more than the macs I work on at tafe.
Don't get me wrong, they're not bad, but the way they're portrayed is a lie.
"Hi, I'm a PC"
"Hi, I'm a Mac"
PC: "So mac, what's so special about you"
Mac: "I'm advertised like bread"

In the end, PC suits me.

Ah yes, Maddox, that sure is the most reliable source on the internet.

I can't send MMS messages using my iPhone as far as I know. I just send pictures by e-mail on the iPhone.

But I've got one of my favorite mp3 files as a ringtone right now, and you can record voice, sound and in the nearby future, video.

You can do many things with an iPhone if you want. Hell, I've even got Super Nintendo running on mine for when I'm bored. :p
