Then that person can ensure that the package is sent from it's start point, wherever that may be (preferably US), through to the EU, and then onto Asia, then Australia. That can then be looped back to America, a la round the world trip, and then pick it up themselves and place it all online.
One hell of a responsibility.
The way I see it, we have two options when it comes to addresses:
A) One person has every address (let's call him Person 1), and when the Package reaches someone (let's call him Person X), Person X sends a PM to Person 1 and says "Hey, I have the Package, and I need Person X2's address". Person 1 sends the address back, and the Package goes on. Here, Person 1 is responsible for sending every address to the correct person.
Or:
B) Person 1 has the complete itinerary, and when the Package reaches Person X, he sends a PM to Person 1 and says "Hey, I have the Package, who's next on the list?". Person 1 sends the name of Person X2 back, and Person X sends a PM to Person X2 and asks for his address. Person X2 sends the address back, and the Package goes on. Here, no one is responsible for anything but sending their own address to the guy asking for it.
I think that B) is favourable here, because that pretty much eliminates the risk of human error. If one person has to handle every address, things may get mixed up pretty bad. Like you said, it's one hell of a responsibility. I'm not saying that A won't work at all, just that I think B will work better.
Also, did we ever agree on the inflatable hammer idea (8 posts up)? Are we going to wait for me to win one between August 29th and September 6th, or should we continue to look for another object?
One last thing I need to know from you Americans: How is does the pricing system work when you're sending something
around the US? Will it cost more the farther you send it? IE: Will it cost more to send a package from e.g. NY to CA, as opposed to to sending a package from e.g. NY to NJ? Same question to the people from England: Does distance matter when shipping something around? I'm asking because the US, the UK and Norway are the only three countires with more than one participant, and Norway's pricing system is the only one I know. In the end, knowing this will help me set up the initerary.
