Vilham wrote:So I just found out about this site today, thought I would come register as from what I heard you guys give great constructive feedback, I also currently only release maps on fpsbanana and would like to increase my exposure now I have got to the point where I think im producing maps of good quality.
Been working on Hammer for over a year now and before that modded games like morrowind, ut, wc3, sc, aoe and various others. Also tried to map in radiant but it has terrible user friendliness I kinda thought no, just no.
Made maps for CSS, DoD:S and am working on a large TF2 map atm.
So yeah, hi all.

I am currently making an alley for the contest.
Mr. Happy here's a tip: Think of the wind, where it blows? How should the dirt look around the walls?

My first post wrote:Well, since its HL2 thats crashing I'll assume your map compiled fine and is now sitting in the map directory. Try launching HL2 directly into dev mode and running the map from the console. If the error comes back, try restarting steam, still coming back restart your computer to clear your ram. Then try again.
If you don't know how to run it directly into dev mode just right click on Half-Life 2 in the My Games tab of steam, click Create desktop shortcut, then edit the shortcut properties and tack -dev -console -allowdebug onto the target.
