New Job :)

Postby Woe Kitten on Mon Mar 07, 2011 12:00 pm

Hi guys. Just in case any of you have been worried about me in light of the closure of Bizarre I have some great news :)

One week from today I will start work at Ubisoft Massive in Sweden. They are an awesome studio working as part of probably the most interesting Publisher around and I will be working on a genuinely brilliant project so I'm totally pumped.

Most of the lads and ladettes from Bizarre seem to be getting on OK finding new work too and there is the new studio, Lucid Games, rising from the ashes here in Liverpool. Several of my very good friends will be working there. I have never worked with a lovelier or more talented group of people and I wish them all the best.

Also quite a few of us are going to Ubisoft (I think we have actually placed staff in every Ubisoft studio bar 1) so get ready for it to be renamed Ubizarre some time in the near future :)

Blink... can you flip my tag over to Ubisoft Massive please? *sniffles*

Well good luck with your new job, it's good to know you were able to land on your feet :)

What is it with Sweden having so many games studios? It must be the 2nd most productive country in Europe after Britain, which is surprising considering it's relatively small size.

Congrats and welcome to Sweden when you get here! Though what will your role be? Are you a coder or level designer etc.. :)

Why not combine them?

While you are at it, if you ever create a game where you can club baby seals you'll have some 35 million possible customers.
