Develop Conference UK - 20th July

Anybody else going? I shall be there for the weds + thurs. There is of course, the free-registration expo which is good for pimping portfolios around for feedback - I went for the last 2 years and its been good every time.

It would be cool to meet up for lunch / beers if anyone is going.

I'm certainly interested, but Brighton is such a pain to get to. Even if it is relatively near (as the crow flies) it would still take me hours to get there @_@ Is it worth making the trip?

Wish I could, but it coincides with my PC Gamer work experience. Ah well, maybe next year.

I'll probably go, it's only an hour away for me and I have friends there so it wouldn't be a problem to stay a few nights.

It will be a good opportunity to pimp my work and make some more contacts

its normally quite good, but you have to be quite social to get the most of it. Heading to the expo is all about networking and meeting people. I went to the expo for the last 2 years, made some good contacts - its all about blagging your way into the awards afterparty too, open bar mingling with industry peeps = good way to meet people. The careers fair at Eurogamer in Sept is usually better for speaking to art leads/directors about your portfolios.

I got to meet Notch. It was pretty good. I didn't bump into anyone from lopers though.
