Help me find this song

Hey guys!
I heard a song I really liked but couldn't find it. Here's what I remember:

Words like "somehow we'll get somewhere" or something like that. It's the chorus.
It's sounds kind of 80's.
There's lots of keyboard, or synth, less guitar.
A female singer.
A VERY dramatic tune.

I'd love so much to hear that song again... So thanks!

It's just a google search... I tried googling it for hours. The only way I can find this song is through it's properties, because I guess I don't remember the lyrics exactly correctly.

I know it dosent really help you as of now but if you have a smart phone (Iphone/Android/Blackberry)

Grab Soundhound or Shazam apps, it records a bit of the song and spits out the title and artist, has helped me so many damn times.

so if you ever hear it again you can just load this up and all will be revealed

Friggin longshot but if it turns out to be this song I'll never forgive myself for not posting it.
Anyways lyrics in this song are "someday ... someday" instead of "somewhere" and it's half male / half female but it ticks the '80s box haha.

Sounds like a man with high pitch singing rather than a woman though. I doubt you'll want to remember that song.

hehe I know the frustration of looking for a song of which you know only so little.

I've been looking for something for ages now of which I only know a small bit of the lyrics which are something like

"it's gotta be, gotta be, got - to be"

could also be "gonna" dunno lol. It's something my mother once played I think, who knows, rest of the song might be crap but it's something I remember very strongly from my childhood for some reason. Must be something not from now but more likely '70-'80-'90 I think...

In the movie My Cousin Vinny, there was a funk-like song being played in the car of the protagonist when he´s pulling into the town (his first apperance in the movie). I could never find the song even when I downloaded the movie´s soundtrack and googled the lyric´s part that can be heard. I have spent quite a lot of hours of my life looking for that song, which is probably crap, but I just became obsessed at some point.

Anybody know the name of the song?
