I started doing amateur graphical design within Microsoft Publisher or any other office application since they all have the same drawing tools. I created polygonal drawings, added 3D effects and lighting, and everybody says my artwork looks very professional and I should develop it as a skill for my portfolio (I'm a business analyst and an automation programmer). My brother even paid me to draw a logo with a plane wrapping itself around a globe, and he is coming back to me for more.
I'm thinking I can use this skill to put original artwork in the applications I develop, kind of my "personal branding" for each app I build for the analyst users. My company loves creativity and artwork too so maybe that's more reason.
I was looking at Adobe Photoshop Elements to further my 3D polygonal graphic design. Is that what I want?
