Today I formatted my laptop. Everything runs top deluxe now.
Then I installed Visual studio, so now me and NSA can share all of our stories together!

Game design exam (final project) and Inventory mod for Source..

"TowerTank" - A UDK game. Coming along quite nicely, although rigging and coding the tank to actually get proper physics, is not so fun. Forgot to align the bones on the vehicle to the correct axes in Max, so after import and a lot of other setup, the tank moved like something I've never seen before.

Hybrid tank-heli-car-lawnmower kinda stuff...
You click on Build or type
make (or some equivalent), and you are astonished, then mortified, as you realize that the whole world is being
recompiled and relinked!

Been in Argentina for almost 5 months now, here's some pics of the shit I done did:

A zombie walk in Buenos Aires:

Kayaking in the delta of the Rio La Plata:

Visited some ruins (San Ignacio):

Went to Iguazu Falls:

Swam at Tres Fronteras - that's Paraguay on the left, Brazil on the right and Argentina under my feet:

Stayed in an epic valley:

Climbed several epic mountains (and got some epic skybox material):

Thing is, while doing all this epic shit, I am still looking at things in terms of how I can make it in blender, or how to render it in a game engine, or how fun it would be to have x in a game. I kinda want to sit down for a few months and just make some fucken games.

Just graduated from college with a Japanese Language Intensive degree and took some computer science / digital art classes.

I am now officially an unemployed indie dev, not a student indie dev. ;-)

Thanks guys. Been busy, but things have been going well. I may pop by a bit more often again now that I have more free time for a while. I had to drop mapping / modding for a while for the sake of better learning drawing and programming... Plus, Japanese class became killer.

After nearly 4 years in Hong Kong, I'm back in London now. 99.9% settled in a new flat. Doing a crap load of programming, computing and math courses in prep for finally getting around to to Uni this Sept.

On the upside I retrieved my old PC from my mams! Now where are those old maps I was working on......

Work work work work work work work.

Working at a machine shop, and that about sums it up.

Business stuff is slowly making progress, almost ready to launch that buzzard.

Two months ago I bought a house. Or, rather, a promise of a house. Spent over eur 200k, so I'm poor again. I'm basically waiting till its done somewhere early 2015 so I can move in :D

In the meantime: work, work work. Gotta get some money for the house ey.

I snagged myself a technical artist position at Sledgehammer Games about 2 months ago. Can't say what I'm working on though it's super top secret.
