What is the shit you're hiding? Your username for Steam? Nobody is going to be able to steal your fucking account, that's stupid. Your paranoia wrongly begotten. If you only knew what kind of information it's possible for me to gather right now, you'd stop this silly bullshit and worry about other things.

I know it was asked earier, but are there any updates on how to make the rain splash when hitting a water surface? I have a river in my map and it would add a nice effect.

I dont think so, unless you setup a uber-complicated system.

you could try a simple(err advanced) setup,
first isolate your river from the real rain. so it's out of your rain brush-entity
using a sprite of the normal rain, fallowing a path
and then setting of a env_splash

but thats like 4 entities for each seperate splash/rain effect

not including a math counter for each of them, setting off timing for another rain splash

:S

Anyone know how to fix this? I get this error when I put rain in the map for my mod:

Binding uncached material "particle/rain", artificially incrementing refcount

I have the proper files (taken from the HL2 .GCF) put into materials/particle a particle folder in the main mod folder but it won't work. Any ideas? It's just a simple box map with the rain in the middle to test it out but it won't work.

nonono, do it with textures instead, one water texture you want to use with a splash effect on it, and one without if you have bridges crossing a river etc. I can remember how to do this, but i know thats the way its done :) ... Or, i am pretty sure 8)
