Don't hotel elevators have two sets of doors, so you can't fall when the elevator isnt there?

most elevators have that, i would really like to know how to do this, im trying to tamper with some settings myself but i cant get it to work right.

also one my elevator i have to press the button twice. once to cloe the doors and again to move. why does it do this?

Help!

Postby lil jj on Fri Aug 25, 2006 9:52 am

I have a problem. In hammer my elevator entrance is looking toward a door, and is on the ground, BUT when I compile and run the map it is crooked and is in the air, I can't even see it unless I press my button then it comes down BUT does not touvh the ground and is too high to jump onto. Why is this and what to do to fix it please.

path_corner and path_track workflow tip

Postby haymaker on Sat Mar 10, 2007 7:13 pm

If you're going to have a func_tracktrain travel along a complex series of path_track and path_corner points, I've discovered that Hammer will automatically rename your next stop if you create it using shift-drag copy, from the previous one.

-e.g. your start point is named "X"
-select it
-do NOT set the "next stop target" field
-shift-drag / copy it ( in plan or elevation view ) somewhere
-you will see the new entity named as "X2". If you check the "next stop target" field of "X", you will see that it is automatically set to "X2". And so on, just keep selecting the last one in the line.
