You made a minor mistake. You put the ROLL values where the YAW values should have been. This will give you identical sides :P

Also, for some reason my skybox isn't seamless. Suggestions?

Maybe you forgot to set the Focal value to 18, like I did. And according to Flynt, compiling the texture with Clamp S and Clamp T in VTFedit is also important.

But I noticed your texture is free of watermarks, so I have to ask: Are you using the PLE? If yes, did you find a way to render the texture without watermarks? Because I'm trying to make a custom skybox for my Christmas Competition entry, but frankly, the sky looks fuck ugly with "E-ON!" printed all over. Yes, I'm aware of that there's probably no way in hell I can remove these watermarks without buying the program, but unfortunately, I'm desperate.

PS: Sorry for spamming this thread with all kinds of questions.

This is fantastic, I spent ages trying Terragen and all that other stuff when this works perfectly.

I check the Focal value was set to 18 right after I saw it wasn't seamless. I also check the flags were set properly, still no go. Guess I'll try again tomorrow.

yum.

edit:

:/

Doesn't look like it compiled properly. The base texture was a 1024 * 1024 PNG converted to VTFs in VTFEdit.

Hey all, sry for the late reply!

Did everyone of you use a Atmospheric Cloud Model? In Vue there are some Clouds that only work for plain Concepts or something. So be sure that you use an Atmospheric Cloud Model. I will check the Tutorial later that day, maybe i got something wrong.

I followed the tutorial step by step, and it gave me that result I posted earlier.

I used post-processing, could that be the problem?

Although that is very improbable, since the textures obviously fit each other colour-wise. It looks as if the sky cube isn't uniformly lit, i.e some sides are darker than otehrs as if they are shadowed.

D'you know what I mean? :/

Yeah, don't use any post-processing, especially the fake HDR, the camera response or whatever.

And its not that its easier than terragen, its just better.

Ok I'll try it again. It is difficult to get that colour using atmosphere alone :/

Also I noticed that you can create terrain too.
