Uhm unsure about how I should do this. I've tried creating a shortcut to the .bat and adding it to the target line, with absolutely no effect. conclusion: I'm doing it wrong...

That makes it automatically static. Because it's not moving.

right?

Nope, static props have different properties, no network traffic, smaller memory footprint, can be lightmapped (where each face counts as a lightmap square), they can effect the light mapping on brushes, and don't get dynamic shadows. (but they do get projected texture shadows, just like everything else)

Thank you stoop :D
Basically, Delta, $staticprop is a misnomer. It doesn't actually make the prop static, it just means that it isn't keyframed.

Using the EP1 dir fixed this issue for me. If you look at my code on the previous page, you see I'm using EP1 dir and I'm placing it in the dir for usage in the EP2 engine. Don't know if that really good, :P, but it works. :>

You need to add the -nop4 inside the .bat file. It needs to be on the line that says studiomdl.

Looks like you aren't using the current version. Besides that, how do people expect me to fix these problems if they don't report them?

Current alpha release 0.16a
Report bugs
Up-to-date SVN download (use TortoiseSVN) : https://ducttape.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/
If https doesn't work try http.

Sorry for derailing, but it really sucks that several people in this community have put a LOT of work into DuctTape just to have very few people support it. We've attacked that problem by adding built in bug reporting.

Thanks for the tutorial,

I would like to let you know I was only teasing you a bit. :) (the error codes weren't fake however) I should indeed support you guys however. Besides that, a built in svn would be a major WIN. But I'll reinstall tortoise.

But I guess I stopped using it the first time because it didn't work right away.. But I'll download the newest version and let that have a go.

Thanks again for the effort, coder0xff, zombie@computer, MayheM, Lord Ned and Mark James & the creators of VTF lib.
