YAY MORE PROBLEMS

i get an error that says the application failed to start cuz mfc71 wasnt found, but it is in the folder that it came in with the RAR.

So WTF is wrong now :evil:

Thanks, i opened the vmf in hammer and it was really spread out and the terrain was flat? In dispgen i set it as 25000 X 25000 X 1024 and had 90 triangles. Was there something i did wrong? I also did the whole area that Do not PM me used. :?

You must use images which size ends in even numbers due to a bug in dispgen

put these dll included in main executable directory, and download this one and uncompress there too:

Looks sexy, but Ive had the same problem as that other guy, there are loads of different files in the zipped folder :S

I forgot to mention in tutorial, but has been said several times: don't uncompress DEM files! Just load it as is, the app accepts that format with out problems..

hi i was messing around with this technique, managed to get the terrain inagame and stuff
but i got a problem with the brush generation parameters..im not sure how to set them so they accurately reflect the real life terrain, in the tutorial it just says "mantain the proportion with your DEM" how do i know how big the DEM is in units? :? is it just trial and error?

ok,
oemgh! i totaly not get the same hightmaps as i view in terrgan??? in a way it looks like in all the convertions one makes it turn into its negative (kind of), i do use even number in dispgen.??

do all you guys get good copies of the renders in 3dem and terregan...?

i also tryed to make a very small and simple, 1 mountian, ter with terregan (great program btw) but still the same, some errors or strange repeating peaks and in negative?

Far Cry employs heightmaps [it has .h16 files]. I was wondering if anyone knew how to convert h16 or .cry files to dem or any digital elevation file

uh no... that's like saying 'hey lets make a displacement!' in hl2 and seeing it all filled up with the textures you wanted immediatelly... not gonna happen. cmon people, constructive help ! :)
