Sometimes you just want your talkative NPC characters to shut up, well now you can do that with this entity. It will control how often they talk if at all.

The ai_speechfilter entity allows us to adjust how much an NPC will idle chatter to other NPC’s around him and indeed the player themselves. This is quite useful, especially if you have a script setup where idle chatter will seem out of place, or get in the way of a Face Poser scene.

There are a few options available to use:

Name: Allows the entity to be targeted or target other entities

Response Contexts: This allows you to force a certain Response Context to be used. To read up further on these, click this link.

Subject(s): This is where you specify the entity in question, i.e soldier1

Idle Modifier: You can increase the percent of how often the NPC will idle chat here.

Greet Player?: Here you can set if the player is greeted when in sight of the NPC
