Valar - your batch file is executing wrongly - looks like you have the QC filename on a different line in the bat file from the studiomdl path; it's meant to just have a single space between the two. If it looked like they were on separate lines in the tutorial (or elsewhere) that's probably just word-wrap
The QC path/filename is meant to be a parameter sent into studiomdl.exe - at the mo, its trying to execute studiomdl with no parameters (hence the usage listing) then trying to execute the qc file (which, of course, does nothing cos its not executable)
Wroth - that sounds like a prop-type error. If it shows in the model browser/hammer, then the model and texture should -
should - be ok.Try with, say, prop_static, prop_physics_override, etc. If that fails, make sure you try all the usual stuff for invisible/dissapearing props (fade distances etc - there's help around the Level Design subforum for that. Failing that, put the game into developer mode ('developer 1' in console) and reload: model or material errors should show up in the console.
If you still cant get it to work, please post in the Modelling forum, and me or someone else will try to help you out
To any future readers - this tutorial was written many, many moons ago, and in places it isn't bang up to date, and may not fit your workflow. Please don't jump straight in and try to follow it 'to the letter' - read it all the way through, get a general idea of the process, what each step means, etc, and then you'll be able to do it yourself in seconds.
Also, I don't check comments in the Tutorials subforum very often (I don't think many people here do), so if you want a hand, your best bet (for this tut) is to post in the Modelling subforum.
