Map Battle 14: Think inside the box

Ladies and gentleman here it is, battle #14. So what is the chalenge this time? Well a box, what else could it be?
You may be thinking now "what the hell BK, are you on crack?", and the answer is yes :)
The map can have any theme you want, but it has to be inside a 1024x1024 box, you can also add a 96x96 3d skybox.

RULES:

- Your map needs to be inside a 1024x1024 units box. The 3d skybox can't exceed 96x96 units. The map can be as high as you want. If we suspect of anyone making a map bigger then that we will ask for the vmf to prove its inside the rules.

- You can only post 3 screenshots, and you can only submit one map. I would prefer if you didn't saved the screenshots as thumbnails, and instead use the direct link (in case you'r using a free image hosting site)

- When posting your screenshots, always explain if they are final or still wip. Any screenshot map that is not labeled as final wont be acepted.

- The final screenshots most be taken ingame with proper light (no fullbright please), and textured. This means, finish your map before posting it!

- Additional mods like bloom mod and garrys's mod CAN'T be used, only HL2, HL2DM, CS:S, DOD:S and Loast Coast (or any other official mod) are allowed.

- Usage of garry's mod to take screenshots, and to place ragdolls/npcs, or props (specially props) is forbiden. Only the map is taken in consideration, so making this won't help you much.

- You can't use any extra software (like photoshop for example) to enhance your screenhosts. Of course usual changes like resizing, croping, or adding your name on the images are allowed.

- You can use maps that you had already made, but that have never been used in any of the other battles. When using an already made map, be sure that it fits with the theme, so that you don't get disqualified.

- You can use custom content. When using costum content wich you did not made, make sure you have permission to use it.

- The maps are judged according to their visual quality, so make them look the best you can.

- The maps don't need to be playable. You just have to create a scene wich is visually good, not a full playable map, so don't worry about stuff like optimization, or gameplay.

- Avoid posting your pictures with big resolutions, since the forum resizes them, and they may loose some quality. Try 800x600 or 640x480

- Keep in the spirit of things and show off your work in progress shots.

The battle ends at the 3rd of September, at midnight (24:00h) GMT. If needed there can also be a time extend of 1 or 2 days.

oh boy, i wanna see the final entries for this. sounds like it will be very diverse and interesting.

S'gonna be fucking hard to judge. The 3dskybox rule is a bit weird :S

The 3d skybox rule is so that no1 complains that the mapping area is to small since 3d skybox can make the map look 10x bigger. That's the only reason, don't want people bitching about it later :)

Aye but the skill should be making the map confined to 1024x1024 ;)

I don't exactly get the subject of this battle. We can make anything we want, as long as it's confined to 1024x1024x1024 (excluding 3D skybox)? :roll:

Changed the rules for the skybox, it is lmited to 96x96 units (1/16 of the real size), wich adds more 512 units to the map.
Also notice that there is no limit to how high the map can be.

a 1024 x 1024 box means, 1024x1024x1024.........

no, it means 1024x1024, if it was 1024x1024x1024 i would had said it that way.. volume <> area.
