Ok, it's official; I don't have a snowball's chance in hell competing with you guys (particularly MercX... ). Oh well, at least I tried...

I'm having no end of problems with this at the moment. I'm not sure I'm going to make it. Sorry.

worked ALL DAY yesterday on a quick little submission....finally finished the final compile at 12.30PM, thinking i'd missed the deadline...plus it had major lighting problems...So i didnt bother getting screenshots, it didnt seem worth the half-hour journey to the nearest late-nite internet cafe..

...and I get to uni today, having given up totally, and find the deadlines been extended again!! dammit!!

I reaally, reeeeeeeeallly wanna fix up my problems and finish it off, but I'm going to paris tomorrow and havent paid my rent :? so i'll save it for a future battle I think.

MercX, that's iiiiincredible - really really badass. who woulda thought essentially usinging one texture for an entire building would look so good?! it's awesome mate, really awesome.

and Steaky....oh...wow....words cannot describe how badass that map is!

...this is a tough tough choice, and it'll only get tougher when (if?) woekitten gets his one done. All the best dude, really wanna see that finished!

Thing is that I've got big lighting problems, and the only way to fix them is trial and error at the moment. But because my map is so detailed and many faces are only a single unit wide, pretty much the whole map needs a lightscale of 2. That means that my compile time is 26 hours!

So even if I do fix it, I won't be able to do a decent compile in time. Sorry guys, but I'm going to save it for another battle too... that way you will all get to see a decent finished product instead of a crappy version of something that could look much better.
