Besides that i think this was a great battle, now time for some voting

my vote was either going to Jake, Jesta or Something. It ended up on something because he made such a nice map. It could be used in a mod Lots of nice brush details and stuff.

But something made the most out of it.
Also badrobot made a very nice map, but he'll get his votes

I don't know what's up with Steaky's but it's got my vote. It's very original.

Had to go with bad-robot. Great lighting, very organic, and some nice curved/strange geometry. Just the right amount of detail, without feeling too cluttered. I love the atmosphere.

I voted something, it just caught the abandoned industrial feeling, wich a like alot. And imo you nailed the lighting

Its a hard choice but I went for Something. Looks great for some airboat action and so does Jake's.

but, you have some lighting issues.

Alminie:
Great brushwork, and texture selection.
But it's missing a 3dskybox

Rocket:
It's very nice, and you have good subtle lighting.
But it doesn't have as much going on as some of the other ones.

BadRobot:
I really enjoyed this,
But it seems you've used so much color correction and HDR to hide everything.

Very nice,
Good lighting. Realistic waterfall. Nice displacements.
But your missing a 3d skybox

Somthing:
Good job, the smoggy feeling is hit correctly.
But, I'm not a big fan of the lighting

Jake:
Good skybox, clear water, nice house and lighting
but for once, your outside seems empty

Steaky:
I liek yours, but your lighting is odd.
Would have been much much better if you had a more subtle color.
Although, it's still effective.

I'd have to vote for Jest@ on this one.

I ended up voting for Rocket_Robinhood, because when I saw it I instantly thought 'perfection', because it's all clean, perfect water, rich estate, and has sort of a 'Hitman' feeling to it.

Alot of really good ones in there though, I was very close to voting for Alminie because the brushwork on that castle is B-E-A-UTIFUL!

I voted for Rocket since his was the best, but i feel like critiquing all of them, so here it goes



renouf: Probably meant to have meaning, but i wasn't really feeling it.

slayera: looks like a rush job IMO. the trees look fullbrightish and the waterfalls do as well.

Alminie: very cool and atmospheric. I don't usually go for medieval/fantasy stuff, so thats like an uber thumbs up.

Rocket_Robinhood: i voted for it. It the best looking, simple as that.

bad-robot: I really like the colors. I would probably place this 2nd with Jest@, speaking of which...

Jest@: i love the gnome house. love it. the water seemed like it was missing something, but the gnome house made up for it.

JakeParlay: pretty good, but ive definitely seen better from you, homie. coughGREATWALLcough

Steaky: liked the asian theme, but didn't come out as good as i think it could have.

and take these with a grain of salt, cuz i can't do anything near as good as these. (i was actually considering entering a fullbright cereal bowl, calling it n00blets.)
