In fairness, it's a competition about aesthetic pleasure, and your target audience is one which clearly sees primitive as not being aesthetically pleasing: don't get me wrong, plain and simple can be beautiful - but is rarely considered so in the realm of computer games. So deliberately making something primitive seems odd, so you can't get pissed off if someone mentions it.

I gotta agree with him, seems kinda bland.

thanks for the positives, but unfortunately I don't have the time to add the volumetric lighting, which is why the other screen shot was final I got work 8:00AM to 10:00 PM tomorrow, then sleep and more work afteR!
