Special Battle: Team 3.5

This is the thread for team 3.5 wip images and discussion.
The team members are:

Athlete{UK}: Half-Life Deathmatch
BaRRaKID: Day Of Defeat 1.3
Blink: Half-Life Single Player
Rocket_Robinhood: Counter-Strike 1.6

The usual battle rules apply, you can read them here. No ranking points will be given tough.
The battle will last for 3 weeks, that means it will end at the 19th of march 24:00 GMT. A extension of the deadline will be added if both teams agree with it.

Well my initial idea is to take this:

And put something like this inside it:

Then connect both using a rim design:

Add some lights, water smoke and destruction, and we get a winner

But i'm not sure if its doable since it has lots of round stuff. I'll probablly need to put most of the detail in the textures, or just remove it... lets see how it goes

Just a a set of sketches I did at college. Pretty simple layout. Going to be interesting to see if gldsrc can handle the detail though.
