13 minutes left...

Map is compiling in HDR, about 6 minutes in.

Currently at:

BuildingFacelights: 0...1...2...3...4...5..


But that's just the first stage... I have to do it all over again. And HOPEFULLY I fixed a weird shadow error I got in the last compile. I have no idea how long this is gonna take and how it will turn out. I think I saw some errors in there. If there are still some shadow bugs I may have to hide em in the shots. :-D Luckily I have a shot from the last compile, and that area looks pretty much the same so I can use that if it's allowed....please tell me it is. :(



If I'm like 10 minutes over the deadline am I disqualified?

I was too ambitious, while I was up to speed creating the geometry in an attempt to make something organically looking. Hammer has been running a subdivide for over 90 minutes now on the approx. 900 displacements I created. Even if it would finish now, the compile would take too long to make the deadline. If the result is satisfactory, I'll post screenshots in the WIP thread.

If a subdivide takes over 2 minutes to complete, I say it's too much. Maybe kill hammer.exe, and get hammer back up and put the displacements to 2 or 3. Unless they are already on that power..


Anyway. I'm with you there. Right now it's still doing the first stage of buildingfacelights. At 6, stuck. I know it's gonna work, but it will take all day.
