I'm sorta glad I didn't enter.. Great entries. While browsing the screenshot Cremator and Spas' quickly became my favorites for completeness (and execution) of their scenes. But in the end it's vcool who gets my vote, great idea, excellent execution, nowhere near standard and it looks great.

but i have to admit it's not very special. I only had five days to do it and temple ruins seemed possible to do in that time... So i did.

I don't agree. Have a look at this page: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Stained_glass.

Notice how the stained glass is lit up while the inside stays dark, frips has pulled this off very nicely. He was my second vote.

Very true indeed. The glass is colored so it collects most of the light and does not allow it to pass through much at all. Frips' lighting is fine.
