Ohh, this was a hard one.. It was either PaulH (sexiest brushwork ever witnessed) or Cremator (atmosphere to die for). Both had an excellent idea and made a visually stunning map, but it was a really tough decision.

But I voted for PaulH. Dunno why, it just looks so damn fine, couldn't help it:P

And good job everyone else, some really nice work you've done there. Especially Vcool:D

I think cremator may already have an insurmountable lead...

I voted 904, because it was most pleasing to mine eye. Cremators was utterly fantastic though.

This was a tough one!

904's one looks simple but for some reason,I love it!:)

Cremator's one is amazing. There is so much juxtaposition in this scene, not just Light VS Dark.

Hellrazor's map was nice but for some reason,I didn't find it visually appealing. It's a solid entry but just doesn't do it for me.

I found Jister's map to be quite confusing and I don't really get what's happening.

Khaeotixs,I don't get your map at all. What is it your trying to show us?

PaulH,that is one amazing scene!I love the light and the way the water is up to the steps.

I felt Punky could have gone a bit futher with the juxtaposition. For example showing how industry destroys nature(lots of cut down trees etc.)

Spas's map is great but I don't see a whole load of destruction.

Vcool's was simple but nice.Lighting could have been better and some different models as well.

I went for PaulH in the end since his scene just looks brillant to me.

Thanks for the votes so far! I Appreciate it!

I haven't decided yet, I like PaulH's ALOT, (also keeping in mind the colorcorrected shots you posted in the other thread).
Cremators' looks stunning and has a strong juxtaposition in it, as mr. Happy pointed out very well.
As for spas' entry, I think it looks great and the fact that you turned it into a playable map already is worth alot in terms of effort, but for me, it lacks juxtaposition...
Jister, I thought you were on the right track, but somehow I dislike what it turned out to be, but I can't put my finger on it..

So for me it's a decision between PaulH and Cremator...

EDIT: vote goes to PaulH, eventhough it puts you ahead of me in the score (currently 9 - 9) :D

I could probably find the answer but... did you do the snow and rose petals post-production, or in engine?

Well I feel like they were all good good attempts but I personally think the best one with their screens was Spas12s, I liked how all around the construction was deconstruction, it was basic and it worked really well, it wasnt filled with complicatedness and didnt jerk my emotions around.

If I ever won a 14 million dollar lotto and decided to open a studio I think spas would be first on my roster list of designers.

Very good job everyone and i especially love what you did Spas, thank you for showing me that.

The snow and leaves is a triangular brush textured on the front face and the two inside faces.

The front texture consisting of the Red leaves and the snow and the back two consisting of the snow.

2/3 custom textures. One brush. Hysteria.

Haha good job. Cremator gets my vote for causing so much mystery and intrigue.

You're right about the leaves, but not the snow. :P

thx you two who voted for me :D

i went for VCOOL, just because i think he's a cool guy lol!
and well Crem it fantastic and has already won so... ;)

for the ones who asked what happened to mine; well it looked so damn dead, so i went over a thousand things that could happen to give it a bit of an action feel, and ended up Armageddon alike, just felt the need to rip it open so i did lol.
maybe a bit to much but hey it was a last act a desperation.
i thought about letting the npc's all walk to the crank (or how you call it), but honestly that was to much hassle.
the earth ripping open and light and fire coming out, i though it might do it, with the temple and church in the background and all the commercial lights versus the same poorly clothed people...
then i made like hundreds of screen, and finally after looking too long at them, i choose the most cinematic ones.
love the last one if i may say so myself, cause it reminds me of blade runner... which i will definitely look at again this week for map inspiration ;)
the red well that was my first attempt at colorcorrection, had some sincity alike idea (maybe didn't turn out as well but hey...)

Haha thanks jister :)

I want to thank you all guys for some appreciation :D It was never meant to be the first, so I am not dissapointed by having one point :) I hit the nail on the head with Mr Happy, since he was (hopefully) genuinly amused. I agree the juxtaposition idea was good (although I had something completely different and epic in my mind :( why do I always have to fall sick at the most incovenient times :( )but it could of been developed further.

So thanks to all, and f'ing amazing entries this one. I don't know who to vote for (Yet :P) but if I had a chance, I\d vote for everyone *Starts creating 10 new accounts*
