Yeah, I realise I don't have a chance now. Awesome entries guys, I wish I had more time with mine:(
I guess three days isn't enough time to make it look sexy enough.. Oh well, bad entry > no entry. At least I tried.

However, is it just I who find the vote kinda weird? As in...

Yeah, I know my entry was kinda half-arsed, and that I submitted it over 12 hours after the deadline, but seriously? COME ON JEST@ MAN!!!1 U NEED TO FIX ASAP PLZKTHNXBAI!!!112

OT: Voting this time was hard. Every entry is looking just as awesome, and yet they are all very different. It's either Assigir, Deathmonkey, The maker or Vcool. Hmm...

Assigir made a very nice looking vertical scene, but I wish there were some kind of prop or building used for measurement, that showed just how big that canyon is. For all I know, it may just be a tiny hole in the ground, or it can be 10 km deep.

Deathmonkey also made good use of the theme vertical, and that castle is truly a brush-made masterpiece. However, there are few textures, and all the images are taken from the same angle.

Even though The maker's entry might not seem vertical at first, he still made a valley below the bridge, and along with the fog, an overall very beautiful scene. I'm not sure if I like the textures or not, but when considering how hard it must have been texturing that bitch, I'll keep my mouth shut;)

Vcool also made a very nice vertical scene, both with that citadel-thing in the middle, and all the factories around. Even though he didn't texture it, I'd say that Dev textures are better than bad textures. And the sunrise/sunset in the background, along with the fog, adds a little something to the scene.

Very well. My vote goes to... Vcool! As I said, a very sexy scene, plus it reminds me of the first time I saw the citadel in HL2 :D

damn tuff call between megadude, deathmonkey and 904.
904 got mine because of the nice renewed style.

and bolock I'm the only one with NO votes :( and what a strange vote result. or everyone voted for them selfs or there is a prankster in the game?
ah well i probably did spend the least time on it.

Trouble here is, VCool has kind of used an idea from HLSS, 904 made that ages ago for another map battle, joe_dirt had already begun that map, and Deathmonkeys doesn't really have the same kick to it as it did untextured.

Jister gets my vote, because whilst theres not much there, it's asthetically pleasing to the eye. Which I commend.

Although all entries are kinda cool, they seem ... half finished. I voted for Deathmonkey, because I like the scene and the detail of it.

Wow.

The level of ability I see in these contests just increases immensly every contest.

Great work everyone, these are easily some of the best entries we've ever had. I'm having trouble choosing one to vote for.

Stubby for me - it had the best atmosphere of the lot of them in my opinion, although the lighting on the tower seemed a bit severe...

Nah, it's okay. My entry sucked anyway, resetting the poll probably wouldn't have made a difference.

I voted for megadude. Sure, deathmonkey's is nice but Megadude's seemed like the nicest looking departure from the norm.

Thanks for the votes so far.
I had my doubts submitting this, but my new attempt made hl2 shit it's pants and break down. And although the rules allow it, I now feel bad about submitting it, after reading some of the comments.
But then again, if I hadn't told you this was something old, you wouldn't haved judged it as such... ;)
EDIT: I voted for jister, love it.
& I cant believe nobody else put their monitor vertically for this battle...
