Entering both battles won't be a problem as long as the entry in this battle fits our theme, and that shouldn't be too hard... :D

Why would I need cubemaps, I already have a lot of them in my map, if you are saying that the windows are reflecting to hard; that's caused by the specular I gave it, I still have to adjust them...

Well that's probably the case then. The specular on the windows doesn't fit. And they make it look like cubemaps haven't been built..

Your entry looks great punky, but how in any way does it have to do with some type of holiday... It's an abandoned industrial building. Adding snow to it wont make it a holiday either, but I trust that you'll be adding something to it that will resemble some sort of holiday.

Thanks, I'll fix the specular, and I'm going to add a Christmas feeling( there are people that celebrate Xmas in places like this, they are called homeless... :(

Beautiful images punky!

The foreground bollards look almost photographic in appearance, the only thing I'd suggest changing would be the blue light, as I don't recall ever seeing a blue light being used in that capacity.

Guys, many people celebrate Christmas in the southern hemisphere too, this could quite easily be in Australia or NZ.

Looks cool Meo!
oh and Goldendeed, the map is based on an actual building near my house, funny fact; they're going to make a shopping mall out if it in 2010! :p

I'm out. My drive went nuts when I tried to remove XP from one of the partitions yesterday so I had to format the entire thing. (Went through a series of bootable rescue discs and it did nothing) This of course means that Pripyat and all the work I did for that is also gone forever.

Merry christmas.

Well MELVIn, sorry to hear that! It looked different in a promising way :)
Punky, it looks nice so far!
Meotwister: good stuff, the first shot is very cool, the textures of the others are a bit strange, but nothing dramatic.
oMeSSiaHo, looking forward to that Icehotel.
blarg, keep working on it, it has potential. Make the ground into a displacement (if not already), varying height, create depth to the windows and add a twist to it in some way..

Ever tried Emailing your hard drive to yourself?

Doesn't quite let you if you have say, a 500GB HDD.

I don't think I ever e-mailed more than 10 MB at a time. You just need to send yourself recently modified files, like a vmt, are vmf, maybe a PSD from time to time. Or you just burn a CD, but I don't waste CDs on data amounts below 400 MB.
