I have two ideas for you diss, number one is the IMG as you see before

the other is that the arch is almost sexual in a very certain, feminine way.

and needs a large, rodlike object.

which would be both hideously wrong and fucking hilarious

and in trying to be subtle i make this post oh so very much worse

I'd also like to know how much we can modify the original template. I want to raise the top part slightly so its at the same height with the rounded corners. But I want an answer before I do and can't enter.

After reading the rules over the template, it's okay to change it as long as you can see that it is a gate with that kind of architecture. So I should be able to make it taller?

So, Yes! Making it taller is OK too, by the same reasoning. So long as it's still a gateway and the template shape is used.

WIP, sorry for the quality of the pictures, my computer kind of sucks. :(

This is the original picture, the 'other side' illusion hadn't been put in yet, but I'm posting it again so the next picture is in context

kind of plain so far, but I'm happy how the illusion of looking through the gate back at the city turned out. I hate the nes castle I made, I just don't know what to do with it yet.

Jest - I was having a look at the rules for the map competition and wanted to ask if I might be allowed to use my mod's (Stargate Legacy) hammer configuration to create my map entry. The only reason I ask this is that it is the only thing I have that I can map for that supports Ep2 content - and so the only way I can achieve HDR lighting, high end water effects (which is integral to my idea) etc. I know the rules say you have to use standard games, but was hoping an exception could be made - I also don't understand how using a mod could change the quality of a map? I'd be using my own textures and models anyway (apart from HL2 content of course), and HL2 standard entities.

EDIT: Having taken a look, it appears that I could probably map for Ep2/TF2 etc, but as I don't own the games anymore I wouldn't be able to run the map. So it's either using SGL or an Ep1 game such as CS:S/HL2
