@Sathor: tried to fix your images, but the 2nd is borked anyway.. it looks nice though, it would be a shame if you couldn't finish it.
@Doc: I believe this is a common problem for these bushes, they're appearently made to be used in bright maps only. I'm not sure if info_lighting entity can help...

"The aim isn't to recreate exactly what you see in streetview; just the place you've picked, in a recognizable form. You can also do things like change from day to night, etc, swap out some buildings, grunge up a nice neighbourhood a bit, do some imaginary urban redevelopment...etc."

Right.. I had somehow misread the finish date to the 27th instead of the 23rd. So I kinda got a little stressed, because I was working on the other side of the street. So I changed my mind, fixed the lighting a little quick and took some screenies. These are FINAL

Even though I never got the model for the chinese lamp, I thank source-maps for his awesome efforts. Thanks alot dude.

anyways I dont think I will be able to finish my map
but I learned allot making it and it was allot of fun
so I hope we can do another street view battle in a couple of months so I can pick a better location

Doesn't look like I'll be able to enter this one, my computer seems to have taken to overheating this past week which got in the way a bit. Anyway I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone else has got done, and I think I'll want to continue with the map after the battle, I really quite enjoyed doing what little I did; a nice change from mapping fictional places.
