I voted for wood250. I really like jister's awesome designs for a balloon air port, but I've been playing CoD: World at War a lot lately, and.......well...ok.

thx to everyone who votes- its my first time entering any kinda map contest and its good to see such good quality on all the screenshots.... ! now ive just got to decide who im going to vote for as it wouldnt be right voting for myself.

I voted for Alex - This design is really cool, and really unique. You took a really different approach on this and it worked out great. I don't know why, but it reminds me of "The Stone Temple" in Majora's Mask. Either way, awesome job. If I were to change anything, it'd be put more contrast on the boat, ie, putting windows or such on it, just so you can see it better. Also perhaps making something in the background, because the left side of the picture just kinda "fades out" from all the design, and if you look beyond the buildings on that left side, nothing is there. Not ever water. So. *shrugs*

Also, Alex, don't think because I voted for you excuses the fact you have long hair, you dbag.

Wood, I almost voted for you, because when you look at your entry, you're automatically drawn to it because it's so complex to the eye, and there's a lot to keep you busy. So fantastic job on that.

Great entries, I'm really impressed to see the turn out when I really only expected myself and wood. srredfire; I've shaved my head, I no longer have long hair. Also, you're right the boat needed more contrast, also I wanted to change the water texture but this map took so long to compile I didn't have time by the end. Also, I had another version, one with buildings with the background and more of those piers extending into the water but I got an error for too many func_details sharing faces with world geometry so I couldn't compile it. Anyway, learned a lot and got to use my map as a concept for Sity chapter2. Thatks for voting for me if you did and great work everyone!

Jister has a really cool model but unfortunately thats about it.
Vcool's looks quite nice, but I think most of it comes from the sky texture.

Woods is the best tbh.
