Its a ClawScanner. They where present in Half-Life 2 Original. However you never saw them in that form. They where always closed up. I then just parented an env_sprite to it, ive adjusted the size of the sprite, it was slightly too big.
Never really felt much compassion for rebels, they always fight like cretins. The combine bursting in are rather awesome, but I feel that the actual emplacement needs....beefing up somewhat.
It does seem a good concept so far Alex, just seems a bit odd that the building the rebels are hiding in only contains a couple of boxes and a table for them to hide behind, maybe try and give the building a purpose and decorate it accordingly

Here is another WIP update. Still trying to get Alyx's face correct, i haven't really used face poser before. Changed the angle of the light_env and added buildings behind the camera view to get a good shadow cast over the alley way.
